After a month of a hard work and promotions in dozen central Belgrade and New Belgrade elementary schools, finally the core of over\u00a0 fifty kids aged 13-15 was established at the two indoor halls \u2013 \u201cMilan Gale Mu\u0161katirovi\u0107\u201d Sports Centre in the central Belgrade neighborhood of Dor\u0107ol and the elementary school \u201eJovan Sterija Popovi\u0107\u201c in New Belgrade.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">After the first three months of training, where through various games kids were taught more to enjoy the cricket than to learn how to bat in \u201eV\u201c or how to hold the line when bowling, a more serious period of formation of young cricketers arrived marked by the first U15 indoor cricket tournament.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">At the first tournament held at the indoor hall of Milan Gale Mu\u0161katirovi\u0107 \u00a0SC on 30th of January \u2013 \u201eStari Grad Cup\u201c, four 8-a-side teams participated: Stari Grad, Mirijevo, Centurion and Sava. Six 6-over matches (single round robin system) were played with the following results:<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Centurion 48\/3 \u2013 Sava 45\/4 \u2013 Centurion won by 3 runs<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Stari Grad 59\/4 \u2013 Mirijevo 56\/3 \u2013 Stari Grad won by 3 runs<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Stari Grad 57\/2 \u2013 Centurion\u00a0 58\/3 \u2013 Centurion won by 5 wickets<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Sava 54\/1 \u2013 Mirijevo 52\/3 \u2013 Sava won by 2 runs<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Mirijevo 29\/2 \u2013 Centurion 21\/5 Mirijevo won by 8 runs<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Sava \u2013 Stari Grad postponed<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The member of Municipality council Petar Bojovi\u0107 presented trophy to the winning side: Centurion CC, with Stari Grad finishing 2nd and Sava 3rd. The best batter of the tournament was Centurion&#8217;s Luka Mili\u0107evi\u0107, whilst the captain of Stari Grad, Jovan Reb, got the award for the best bowler.<\/p>\n<p>The second tournament \u201eNew Belgrade Cup\u201c was scheduled for the 27th of February, at the indoor hall of \u201eJovan Sterija Popovi\u0107\u201c school in New Belgrade.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/index.php\/en\/gallery\/2016\/prvi-u15-turnir-first-u15-tournament\">Photo gallery<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SCF finished 2015 with a very successful initiative \u2013 Free school of cricket for Belgrade elementary children.
