In collaboration with the State Commissariat for Refugees and Migrations (KIRS), the Serbian Cricket Federation (SCF) is implementing a project, entitled “Integration of migrants through Cricket”, within which training sessions and friendly matches for migrants are being organized in three asylum centres: Sombor, Krnjaca and Obrenovac.

Twice a week, SCF  coaches work with older and younger migrants, who come mainly from Afghanistan and Pakistan. In addition, the SCF has provided basic cricket equipment for the aforementioned centres.

The project will take place until the end of July, and it is envisaged to be completed with semi-official tournaments in the respective camps. Among the foreseen project results is the incorporation of a number of migrants who have obtained a residential permit into Serbian cricket clubs.
