In line with the Contract of Donation signed between SCF and the Commissariat for Refugees and Migrations of the Republic of Serbia, SCF representatives – Vladimir Ninković and Veljko Vilimonović, donated a part of the consignment received from the Lord’s Taverners to Ms. Djurdja Šurlan, the director of the Krnjača Centre for Asylum Seekers in Belgrade.

The equipment will be used for the cricket sessions held within the camp, as well as for the tournaments and matches organized at the Lisičiji Jarak cricket ground in Belgrade. Also, the part of consignment allocated for seven other camps in Serbia – Adaševci, Principovac, Kikinda, Bogovađa, Sjenica, Tutin and Pirot – is also stored in Krnjača, from which it will be further distributed. The donation consists of junior and senior cricket bats, batting and wicket-keeping pads and gloves, soft balls, helmets, as well as of cricket jerseys and jumpers.

During next week SCF will hand out the donation to two more camps – Obrenovac and Sombor, in which the SCF has implemented the ongoing „Cricket for Migrants“ project since April this year.
