The coordinator and selector of the Serbian Youth Cricket team, Bogdan Dugić, has successfully completed the ECB L2 cricket coaching course in Copenhagen, making him the first person in Serbia to attain this qualification.
Speaking about his experience, he said: “There were two former international cricketers involved in the course, Keith Dabengwa (Zimbabwe) as a candidate, and Roland Lefebvre (The Netherlands) as an instructor. The other two instructors were David Galling from the ECB and Lars Hedegaard from the Danish Cricket Federation. The second weekend of the course was comprised of both theoretical and practical segments, including batting, spin-bowling and pace-bowling masterclasses, which were run by Dabengwa and Lefebvre. In the end, of course, the candidates were examined in a one-on-one interview.”
Dugić will be in Denmark until Wednesday and will take part in the training sessions of KB Copenhagen.
The Serbian Cricket Federation extends their gratitude to the Danish Cricket Federation, with special thanks to Ole Roland, Ivan Kristensen, Lars Hedegaard and Carsten Martensen, for helping the development of cricket in Serbia.
